A beautiful painting from my ongoing 'Arcipluvia' series. Though we recognise the rolling hills and trees from rural scenes, Arcipluvia is an imagined world in which colour dominates the scene and draws in the viewer. Based in South-east London, Daisy is a full-time artist, whose work is centred around a self-created, imagined world, called 'Arcipluvia': a place of dreamy, kaleidoscopic landscapes comprised of stripes. 'Arcipluvia' is a name created from the Latin-derived word ‘arcipluvian’, which translates to an ‘arc of rain’– more commonly known as a rainbow – and is a word used to describe something which is multi-coloured. In recent years, Daisy has partaken in multiple creative opportunities including charity auctions, group exhibitions and art fairs, while building her portfolio of works dedicated to her ongoing, and ever-evolving 'Arcipluvia' series. Daisy seeks to engage with those to whom her work resonates, and spread the ethos of 'Arcipluvia' and everything it represents.
