ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The "Yoga Girls" series, a small body of work painted with mixed media and acrylics on wood panel before and during and after the artist partook in a nine month intensive somatic yoga teacher training course with Rizze Yoga in Vancouver, BC. Most of the painting are of the silhouette of a woman doing a yoga pose with an abstract background. The inspiration behind the paintings was procrastination. The artist chose to paint instead of doing her home yoga practice. She is still learning to find her balance!
