ABOUT THE ARTWORK
As an African-American woman, I learned about the struggles of our people in history and how they've overcome. How they got over or through them. Even through my childhood to adulthood, my spiritual life developed through the nurturing of others in the church. It was through the higher power of God which lead them and leading up to this day for us to hold on and keep going! At the Cross, Jesus tells us He is the light of the world.
