Painting: Oil, Acrylic on Canvas.
"Awareness" is inspired by one's personal struggles. The painting transformed tremendously during the process which is an analogue to mind and it's transformations without ever returning to the exact state it was before. It speaks about acknowledging one's pain and working through it.
The abstracts element of the painting allows for every viewer to find their personal understanding of the painting. It has sparked some controversy wether the painting is melancholic or on inspiring and hopeful. It's impossible to say since the conclusion will rely on one's disposition.
The technique behind Awareness is painting layer by layer. It took months for each layer to dry.
Portraiture is the artist's greatest passions and this piece one of the first attempts of diving into it in painting and large dimensions.
