ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This acrylic painting is on Yupo Paper. Yupo is a compelling and unique alternative to traditional art papers. It's a synthetic paper, machine-made in the USA of 100% polypropylene. It is waterproof, stain resistant, and extremely strong and durable. This extraordinary, non-absorbent surface resists tearing and buckling and remains perfectly flat. Even though this painting seems effortless and quick, it took many attempts. The Yupo paper allowed me to wipe away efforts to achieve the painting I deemed successful.

I am a contemporary realist painter investigating ongoing trends and popular products and their effects on the consumer. I was born in Graham, TX in 1988 and earned my B.F.A. in painting and drawing from The University of North Texas in 2010, and then my MFA in painting from Texas Woman's University in 2015. I exhibit nationally on a regular basis with five galleries, and am in numerous personal and public collections. I have appeared in several publications including New American Paintings West #114 and New American Paintings West #126.
