About The Artwork
During a trip to Barcelona in 2018 I saw these flags all over the city and thought they looked more pleasing to the eye than the Spanish flag so I decided to make a painting showing the flag with a background presence of quantum energy fields. In this painting I used an artistic theme and my thoughts on quantum mechanics as a physicist; because QM represents the exciting behaviour of atoms and that made me think of the revolutionary theme for the flag.
