Barn Door was inspired by one of the outbuildings where I live, in the rural Scottish Borders. It is a small quick A4 acrylic study painting on paper, where I have tried to convey the texture and character of the stone wall and wooden door in loose expressive brush strokes.

Having returned back to Scotland in 2017, I have focused primarily on landscape painting, but still produce some life drawings and still life paintings too.
