Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Wood and Other.

This cat skull belonged to Mia who was the pet of a friend in Blanco. Mia died at a very old age in the woods and friends found her body, but her head was missing. It wasn’t until months later the same friends found her skull on a hike. I call this painting Bastet, the Egyptian goddess of the home, domesticity, women's secrets, cats, fertility, childbirth, after life and the moon.
