About The Artwork

Titled "Beaver Pond in November". This is in the Green Mountain National Forest right in the middle of Vermont. A beautiful, quiet, contemplative setting. This is painted with professional grade acrylic on canvas, measuring 36" high by 60" wide. It's framed with simple wood strips that are attached with brass screws, wired and ready to hang. On a phone or computer screen, the painting may appear more photo-realistic than it actually is. It is nowhere near photo-realism. Please look at the detail photos carefully, which show a much more painterly effect with intentional scumbles and brush marks inherent in painting. About the artist: Stephen Remick was born and raised in Vermont. He resides in a coastal, New England town with his wife, Anne Carrozza Remick, who is also an artist on saatchiart.com. Steve's paintings are in private collections all over the U.S. and abroad.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I'm painting my back yard and the world beyond. Familiar, everyday sights that may only get a peripheral, passing glimpse. In-the-moment scenes… a yard sale, a backyard tree house, or a new house foundation under construction and filled with potential. Signs of prior lives… a centuries old, crumbling foundation who's long gone owner held that same potential as today’s builder, a cemetery reclaimed by the woods. Trying to guide the viewer to think in a deeper way, to realize our connection to each other, our environment, our past, and our future. Also re-connecting with an abstract, color-field series from the early 2000's, with inspiration drawn from land and sky and the abstract expressionist movement. In between all that, plein air painting when I can. Nothing beats painting from life. Born and raised in Vermont, currently living in Massachusetts.
