ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It was loosely inspired by Samuel Beckett's work. Beckett chose to focus on the 'interna lworld', as he believed his contemporary Joyce had said everything about the 'external world'. Beckett's characters are often entrapped by layers of their own neurosis, painstakingly accounting the minutae of everyday life, amounting to a tapestry of a characters thoughts and actions. I want the viewer to feel the urge to peel away all those brushstrokes to uncover what lies beneath.
