ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by the patterns, textures and colours found in nature this experimental painting on glass, uses acrylic and pastel to create a work that delves deep into that mindful zone of painting. I find working on glass liberating and enjoy the process and challenge of reverse painting. This work opens the story book of all those childhood haunts where patterns and colours of the surroundings create a dreamlike image for the viewer where they can connect with their own memories and stories.

I love to experiment in my process of painting, exploring opposites like the spontaneous mark alongside the deliberate, dark colours contrasted with fluorescent pigments, masses of colour juxtaposed with fine ribbons or scribbles of paint.
