Phoebe Boddy, born in 1995, lives and works in London. After graduating from Loughborough University in 2017, Phoebe has been represented by the London based Art rental and sales company, ARTIQ and is also exhibited by IdeelArt. Phoebe has also recently, together with Chef Jay Sharp, founded Palette Dining - a unique dining experience that explores the sensory connections between Food & Art. "Phoebe Boddy is a British contemporary abstract artist whose painting practice is stimulated by food and flavor. She uses the process of painting to explore the connections between the two creative fields - Food and Art. Similarly to the recipes that inspire her, Boddy’s gestural abstract compositions are layered and complex. These works are always titled after (or related to) food and are easily recognizable for their energetic brushstrokes infused with bold use of color and form. Through painting, the artist interprets flavor as a color, envisions texture as a mark, and translates forms onto canvas."
