Birch trees captured in the light of dawn. I have begun to use gold in my work as a versatile material that offers various possibilities, whether in terms of structure or color. I am fascinated by the interaction between the gold and the painting and, above all, the effects and color tones that are created. Gold is a color with a psychological effect that often conceals a special symbolism. In this sense, gold as a working material is timeless, perfect, modern and absolutely archaic. The artist uses a palette of warm and cool colors to create a contrast between the light birch trees and the dark forest background. The painting conveys a sense of calm and harmony and invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the serene landscape. Birch Grove is a perfect example of Elena Starostina's skillful and imaginative style, combining realism and abstraction to create captivating nature scenes

Lightfull lightness is the key element of Elena Starostina paintings. Either garden flowers, city views and roofs or landscapes, gently brushstrokes evoke their timeless life-affirming tension and reduced color settings give an abstracted hint to reality, leaving room for the viewer to dream along in an flourishing impressionistic style, including dusky moods. Classical education, more applied, than academic, leads to casual nude paintings. Atmosphere of buildings is deepend with empathy for history by linking sentences and sources. Sensibility expresses in these paintings, which was experienced outdoor, thus they are artful, but not artificial. Dr. Phil. Dirk Tölke, art historian
