ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This fresco is based on a little fragment of the wonderful mural from The Villa of Livia Drusilla, wife of Emperor Augustus. The Villa of Livia is an ancient building near Rome, Italy, probably part of Livia Drusilla's dowry brought to the Julio-Claudian dynasty. Excavated with wall frescoes & mosaics. 30-20 B.C.E. Has a finished look so the canvas does not require a frame.
