About The Artwork

Totems and archetypes fascinate me. In this spiritually evocative totem painting titled "Seeds of Resilience," I weave a tapestry of symbolism, representing the spirit and inner strength of women connected deeply to the earth. Her body serves as a vessel of life, mirroring the eternal cycle of birth and rebirth. The seeds within her belly symbolize her nurturing and generative powers, representing not only physical fertility but also the potential for growth and transformation in all aspects of life. As she releases the seeds into the ground below, her gesture becomes an act of reverence and prayer, an offering to the earth and the forces that govern the cycles of existence. The act of releasing the seeds signifies the woman's connection to the land and her acknowledgment of the interdependence between humanity and nature. "Seeds of Resilience" serves as a powerful totem, encapsulating the woman's journey towards inner strength and self-discovery. The painting becomes a visual prayer, inviting introspection and inviting viewers to draw upon their inner resilience and the bountiful potential for growth within themselves.

I paint fervently for long intervals, as if I were walking blindfolded through nature, feeling the color with my skin. Notable Exhibitions: Galerie Cècile Charron in Paris, Galleria del Arte Ill Milennio in Venice, Gallery Knoerle Baetig Fine Art, Galerie Mainau, Zurcher Kantonal Bank and AXA Winterthur in Switzerland. Internships In the Netherlands I apprenticed with the painter poet Anton Martineu, attended the Rietveld academy, and in India at the Honey Arts Modelling center I apprenticed in the "lost wax method" bronze casting technique. In Iceland I established the platform Fluxus Design Tribe and produced the film Pourqois Pas Borgarnes. Maine's Cafe Review selected the Mermaid for their cover of the Icelandic Poetry Edition. I am the co-founder and producer of MAP Magazine Artist Professionals and the Open Doors Event and Outside Inside platforms for artists working in Winterthur Switzerland.
