About The Artwork

End of September. I sit in the evening in the garden, listening to my breathing. Thoughts gradually slow down and consciousness gradually covers the whole body. I look at a blackened bush against the background of still quite bright grass (in Germany, to my surprise, the grass is even green when it is almost frosty outside). My mind doesn't evaluate the bush, it just absorbs this image and don't have to think about what will be my next painting. Abstract textured acrylic painting on canvas 60x60x2 cm (23,6 x 23,6 x 0,8 inches). Mixed Media on gallery wrapped canvas. The work is ready to hang. No framing required. The sides of the work are painted. The artwork is signed, dated and titled. Original artwork with signed Certificate of Authenticity. My artworks are a result of years of studying spiritual books written by Eckhart Tolle. According to Eckhart Tolle “Flowers are like messengers from another world. Like a bridge between the world of physical forms and the formless. They exude not only a subtle smell, pleasant to people, but also an aroma from the kingdom of the spirit. If we understand the word "enlightenment" in a broader sense than the generally accepted one, we can consider flowers as the enlightenment of the plant world.” - Eckhart Tolle (paraphrased from German). I would like to invite you to immerse yourselves in a colorful yet calm world of impasto colors full of meditative floral magic. Style: My technique shows some influence from abstract expressionism and modern art. I use original mixed media in which undiluted acrylic paint, ink, gel medium and structure paste are applied to the canvas. I like to paint impasto abstract paintings and use spatulas, tubes for writing and usual fruit knives to build three-dimensional flowers and surfaces in my artworks.

Statement: “I feel my mission is to create art works from inner silence.” - Anastassia Skopp Born in Russia, Anastassia Skopp was raised by her Mom in the city of Saransk where she studied art for 7 years (1985-1992) at the Mordovian Art College named after P.F. Ryabov for children and young people. There she learned about drawing, composition, art of painting and sculpturing from well-known artists and painters (including P.F. Ryabov). Welcome to Anastassia's world of floral paintings, where art and spirituality converge to create a unique and transformative experience. As an artist, she has devoted years to studying spiritual books by Eckhart Tolle, and her art is a reflection of this profound exploration. According to Tolle, flowers serve as messengers from another world, bridging the divide between the physical and the formless. They emit a subtle fragrance that not only pleases the senses but also carries an aroma from the spiritual realm. Anastassia's paintings extend an invitation to immerse oneself in this realm of meditative floral enchantment, where impasto colors and textures intertwine to foster a sense of tranquility and serenity. Her technique draws inspiration from abstract expressionism and modern art, employing a distinctive combination of mixed media that includes undiluted acrylic paint, ink, gel medium, and structure paste. Through these mediums, she crafts three-dimensional flowers and surfaces. She particularly delights in creating impasto abstract pieces, utilizing spatulas, tubes, and fruit knives to achieve a tactile and textured effect. Anastassia's mission is to create art that emanates from inner silence, transmitting this state of being to the viewer. Each painting becomes an oasis of focus and tranquility amidst the tumultuousness of everyday life, offering a moment of stillness and serving as a reminder of the beauty and interconnectedness of all things. Her works have been collected by individuals and art enthusiasts worldwide, spanning from Japan to the USA and Canada.
