Painting: Acrylic, Enamel on Canvas.
Black Swan #6, The Black Swan series looked at the simplistic purity of the Swan. I took an interest in the anatomy of the wings and began to focus on this area. As the series progressed the images became more abstract. This painting was done mostly with a pallet knife as it gives beautifully harsh edges and leaving thick ridges of paint adding texture. Adding strokes of metallic blue that reflected when the light hits, giving the impression of the light playing off the water. Building the stretcher and stretching the canvas myself gives the object it-self a charm.
