Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Vector, Textile, Fiber, Fabric on Canvas, Soft (Yarn, Cotton, Fabric).

Living between Germany and Lithuania made me think what home meant to me. What else, besides a roof over the head, quality of living, cultural notions, lies in the concept of home. What are the boundaries of what home means to any person in the world in this era of migration, when the walls open to some societies and new walls newly appear for others. Is home only a physical shelter in a specific surrounding with a familiar environment, or it might be a state of mind and feeling with it's confidence or insecurities? How these two correlate?
Work is one from the series Home. 12 Hours In The Air And 6000 Meters Of Repeated Stitch.
Linear drawing is stitched by hand on a painted canvas. It has a unique texture and perception of work changes when observing from various perspectives and distances.
