ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My abstract work reflects a lifetime of dealing with anxiety. What I put down on paper reflects the neurotransmitter activity in my brain with help from various medications, therapies, breathing exercises and other assistants. These works are entirely spontaneous. I don’t plan out my work. Whatever my brain is sending out at the time gets reflected on paper. I’m inspired by the abstract expressionists of olde, who also struggled mightly with their brain chemistry: Franz Kline, Pollock, Lee Krasner, and many others.
