About The Artwork

Theme is ignorance and selfishness in our wealthy societies towards those who are victims of drought or even wars that directly or inderectly are caused by just origins of our wealth like dirty industries, hold on natural ressources a.s.f.. The parameter is water, drawning and abundance. Symbolisticly I have choosen the workld of fashion, haute couture, which is dominating our life style as luxury which has nothuing to do with survival or human health. My association with this conflict show deap origins and fashion roughly crashes with the human natural bodies in the back. There are lots of details and blushing textures that make this artwork an interesting issue. This work also is part of my 'Arte Ricca' series, where I airbrushed a whole antique appearing scenery, inspired by the japanese artist Hokusai´s work 'Wave', where a boat is overwhelmed by the sea. Next layer are pieces of clothings and an elegant fashion puppet, and on top the original swing of the backgrund is repeatet by fine red lines so the extremes get a ballanced unit as a painting.
