ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Welcome! This is an original large abstract landscape painting, it is an handmade oil on canvas. I spent more than a decade studying and practicing “en plein air” painting, working with my canvas and oil colors in the middle of an empty wheat field, or in front of the sea, rainy or sunny day. I followed a rigorous approach based on a classic atelier-like approach: drawing, color and light study, and deep knowledge of materials. My abstract work is a synthesis of thousand of hours spent in the elements, studing light variations.

Nature and light are the source of inspiration for all his works, with a style based on the use of chiaroscuro and Impressionist technique. The artist investigates nature and then shows it to the viewer as it is perceived by him. His works transmit peace, ecstasy, silence, or still solitude and distance. His is an "intimate" pictorial style that, through quick and instinctive brushstrokes, transports us directly into his universe. He began exhibiting in 2012, his works are found in private collections in Europe, USA, Cina, Qatar. It is represented by the Elle Arte gallery in Palermo and the Caravello gallery in Palermo, and as“emerging talent” on Singulart, and on Saatchi, where he has been featured among curated collections. He lives and works in Palermo, Sicily, with his wife and their 3 children.
