Anne Ylisirniö-Kemppanen is a Finnish painter whose work is deeply rooted in Nordic light, quiet atmosphere and emotional sensitivity. Her paintings span several decades and reflect a unique blend of expressive brushwork, intuitive colour and an intimate connection to nature. Her curated landscape series “Finnish Lakeside Views – Nordic Light Series (1990s–2000s)” gathers her lakeside, shoreline and forest-edge paintings into a coherent artistic whole. These works capture shifting northern moods — from pale grey mornings and vivid summer blues to warm autumn tones and close waterlily studies. The series forms a visual diary of Finnish nature, painted with clarity, rhythm and a deeply personal touch. Ylisirniö-Kemppanen’s style combines observation with expression: soft horizons, strong vertical tree lines, atmospheric skies and lyrical surface details. Her art conveys the stillness, silence and light of the Finnish landscape, revealing an artist with a strong, consistent voice built over decades of work.
