About The Artwork
Roaming the rolling Palouse backroads on a winter's day. Brilliant sunshine and luminous blue snow shadows are the perfect remedy for "the winter blues". Snug inside the warm car we ambled over miles of sparkling snow hills. Cold winter winds blew fast moving clouds overhead. Painted from a photo I took that day, on a full sheet of watercolor paper, I wanted to capture the vastness of this landscape and the glorious luminosity of snow shadows. I wanted this painting to elicit joy and a renewed excitement for life.
