ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece was inspired by the very linear essence of a famous dancing couple, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers. It reflects the simple relationship of the two dancers and single point in their dance presentation. My paintings are entirely based on my feelings about my experiences from childhood to the present day. We all have strong feelings and emotions that often are in the background of life but in quiet moments or in dreams, those raw emotions can feel ever present. We can all relate to this. I think I am very fortunate to be able to convert these strong sensations and re-interpret them into unique abstract works. If an interested buyer did not know the circumstance behind one of my works, this painting stands on its own based upon the colors, shapes, surface, paints, and in some cases physical objects that are integrated into the painting. So the work stands on its own without story details.
