Blue Wallflower Painting

"Blue Wallflower" This piece was created for a Women Painting Woman show at the Customs House Museum in Clarksville, TN. It was an honor to participate in this show with other women painters whom I greatly admire. The seven artists from across the U.S. represented in the exhibition include Linda Brandon, Elena Burykina, Alia El-Bermani, Gaela Erwin, Ann Piper, Pamela Wilson and myself. I have been experimenting exclusively with this combination as a result of discoveries made while working on this piece. I am able to achieve a beautiful texture, adding both physical and visual depth. The surface has a satin finish. The sides of the canvas are painted black, it's ready to hang as it is or you may chose to frame it to suit your decor. My model is a friend named "Blue."
