ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Practically all my paintings are inspired by feminine beauty as mystical and elusive. They are mysterious landscapes in human form. This was initially conceived through an AI image generator from a simple text prompt and then run through several iterations as well as a few image manipulation apps. I was looking to create a loose, sensual expressionist figurative painting style. Painted on canvas mounted on hardboard.

James Greene is a retired self-taught artist (b. 1958) living in southern New Mexico. Prior to starting painting around 2000, He was actively involved in street photography for several years. His first paintings used many of his photos taken around the U.S. and Europe as references. The new technology of AI driven imagery has greatly fueled his creative desire and he uses the images that he develops through AI and digital manipulation to create his original oil paintings. This new technology has also allowed him to embrace many various styles and painting techniques. His favorite subjects to paint are female portraits and figuratives. .greene
