About The Artwork

For this series I wanted to paint something that would give a sense of the wonderment of nature with colour and form. I choose trees for this purpose with their ever changing leafs and their strong silhouetted trunks. Nothing can bring over a sense of calm and connection to nature than being amongst these magnificent giants. They do so much for us cleaning the air we breath, giving us fruit, shade from the heat, wood for building and so much more. With so many serious issues these days happening around the globe, I wanted to paint something light and full of spontaneity. Something that speaks to a simpler time when humans were coexisting with nature and revered it... all the time.
