In the tranquil spaces of our minds lie treasures often forgotten – fragments of moments, laced with emotion and meaning. "Brewed in Memory" is more than just a watercolor representation of a teacups; it is a testament to the delicate beauty of fleeting moments and the stories they silently carry. This painting, part of my "Blue Moments" series, attempts to capture the essence of introspection – the profound feelings that can be triggered by the simplest of objects. Teacups might appear mundane to many, but to some, it embodies a universe of memories. Encapsulating those azure afternoons and hushed conversations, the whispers of yesteryears echoing with every glance. chose watercolors for their fluidity and subtleness, mirroring the way memories seep into our consciousness, blending reality with emotion. The size, an intimate 8 x 8 inches, encourages the viewer to lean in, to get closer, to truly engage with the piece and perhaps, in doing so, revisit their own repository of cherished memories. A gentle reminder that in life's quietest moments, there's a universe of emotion waiting to be rediscovered. Every stroke, every hue, is an ode to the little moments that make up the tapestry of our existence.

I grew up a girl of the southern wild, playing and dancing in the half-light. Cicada music blared in my ears as the magical illumination of evening called a halt to each day but foreshadowed a beginning to the next. It was in this half-light that my soul took flight, that my art began, and that all I imagined danced on canvas. Shadows, lights, and colors haunt my mind….Where shadows and light intertwine, bridging the familiar with the ethereal, exists the transient spectrum of the half-light. My work celebrates the dichotomy of the tangible and the intangible, melding moments of reality with those of the imagined. Each piece is my visual poem to the changing spirit of nature and the flow of time and space. My creations echo the raw, ephemeral beauty of the natural world, intertwined with our poignant yearning for exploration and progression. I do this skillfully with a variety of mediums to capture the emotional expression of the half-light. The half-light represents the boundary of the known and the unknown, capturing fleeting moments of transition and the ever-present potential of what lies ahead. It is the thin veil between the past and the future, the real and the dream. In addition to my two current series, "Into the Southern Wild" and "Blue Moments". I delve into the world of commissions through the meaningful collaboration of skillfully expressive portraiture. Portraiture, for me, is an intimate way to connect to others by capture their unique personality’s, experiences, or emotions in a personalized and meaningful way. Generic mass-produced art might not accurately reflect an individual's identity or life story, leading for the desire of a custom piece. My clients and I appreciate art as a way to connect with the human experience on a profound level. My art is often introspective, and I value emotional depth, self-discovery, and intellectual stimulation in artistic experiences.
