The diptych shows Amy Winehouse, the charismatic singer. Such a great talent - and such a beautiful, sensitive soul. But in the end this precious sensitivity breaks her. The black and white portrait shows a broken spot on her face - the canvas is ripped open, Amy is broken. But its golden inner life shines out of the wound. And it shines out into the world.
