This is an original mini artwork on a birch panel. Capturing bell heather and ling heather flowers, as well as dandelions that grow in the dune heath, the painting features layers and layers of pigmented washes over a slightly textured wooden panel. Small pieces of fabric add interest and add to this mixed media artwork. Its is soft and inviting, and by pouring on white and grey acrylic inks, and then spraying them with water, the clouds have a lovely loose effect. The artist has poured , stained, and dripped inks and acrylic washes over each other, sanding back into the piece and adding more layers on top for surface interest. Key colours include mauve, lilac, pink, blush, grey, yellow and pale blue.

London Evening Standard Top Ten : "Best Affordable Art Prints Nature Inspired Art". "The act of painting is a form of introspective spadework, where I am constantly 'digging deep'. I call this my daily meditation and, when fully in the flow, it often feels like a spiritual rite of passage." TOAF exhibitor London 2021 edition. Grounded by the spiritual anchors of land, sea and sky, Emma Tweedie's highly emotive landscapes explore a narrative based around the power of nature and its effects on human consciousness. Her paintings set out to unlock ancient wisdoms, the legacy of places and the unique energies that often resides in landscape, as well as metaphysical concepts including memory and spirituality. Emma works with responsibly sourced materials where possible, and is passionate about sustainability. By donating a percentage from every painting sold to a number of hand-selected environmental and social causes, Emma uses her creativity to make a positive planetary impact. An established artist, Emma works between her native homeland of Northern Ireland and her London studio.
