ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is part of a whole series of paintings realized in 1985 about creative persons in Belgium, France & Holland. The starting point was an interview with the person and some photos I took. Mixing media like photocopy, acrylics, airbrush, pastel, collage and fibreglass, I wanted to transmit the personality and passions of my subject. I want you to feel the intensity and complexity of human nature, especially when we're talking about artists.

Belgium-born, Barcelona-based expressionist painter, Thierry "Deth" Delsart's work primarily emphasizes the woman, as its principal theme. Still though his first period "Fibre sensible" is a whole project. 15 portraits + 15 related artwork of creative people of the '80s. Based on photographic portraits, treated through copy-art, scratched cut, painted, airbrushed, and fixed in time trough fiberglass. Since 2008 photography as became his only expression tool.
