Buds Painting

'Buds' is an expressive abstract acrylic painting on canvas from a series of paintings Laura exhibited under the title 'Bloom', where she experiments with layering, of what to conceal and what to show, glimpses of underpaintings sit alongside new layers which hint at the painting's evolution, there is a fine line between creation and destruction throughout her process. This painting was inspired by the process of a flower's fullest expression of it's self and the layered process of creation in nature and life; from a seed to bloom, from an idea to it's manifestation. This is Laura's reinterpretation of nature, the energy and beauty found there and her emotive response to it, this fresh uplifting painting will hopefully make you feel inspired, refreshed and calm.
