By the sea of the rose and the I Painting

At the early age of 10, Ataulfo was taken to see a series of documentaries about the underwater world. The shapes, textures and colors of life below the surface did not leave him indifferent; Casado did not know at that time that those images, which were impregnated in his memory, were going to acquire an aesthetic interest in his artistic work. Ten years later he met the stained-glass windows of the Cathedral of Chartres and, admired by such beauty, he understood that geometry and color could generate extremely attractive and impressive images. In the series entitled "By the sea of the rose and the thorn" Ataulfo embarks on the mission of building a sea of Chartres through collage and color, to accommodate living and strange fish swimming and writhing in the mysterious and almost abstract world waiting below the surface. This series, while is an exploration of color and movement, invites us to immerse ourselves in the imagination and pure recreation of an artist who shines precisely to get away from all conventionality.
