Caesar’s Bay II Painting

ARTIST STATEMENT ​ As an artist I’m fascinated by the complexity and simplicity of nature. How at the microscopic level its ordered and often repetitive, yet at the larger scale, free flowing and seemingly chaotic; seeing nature in its purist form and how it is built from the ground up; constantly evolving, changing and in some cases in two places at the same time. My work aims to capture this paradox between the quantum and the universal world with transparent overlays and varying double and treble outlines. Close up my work seems regimented and abstract with simple marks, often 0 and I, circle and dashes, yet step back and the seemingly chaotic beauty of nature reveals itself. Painting over and outside the lines, both mentally and literally, my work represents the way I look and feel about the world and universe around me
