About The Artwork
The themes are a pretext for the deconstruction of the figurative subject and a pictorial research around movement and pairs support/surfaces. I don't want to project any intention in my works, I simply create. I try to paint without asking myself too many questions. When the canvas is made, I'm happy to discuss it over and over again. But not before or during. Otherwise, it's permanent self-censorship, it's the end of freedom... The paintings thus echo the artist's experience and inner world. The places that you visit regularly are never really the same because you have evolved over time. An artist's work is similar: you never go back to the same place even if you are using the same theme over and over again.

Adrian Buba was born on June 8, 1953 in Caransebes (Romania). In 1979, he became a member of the Union of Contemporary Visual Artists of Romania and was awarded with the National Painting Prize that same year. He quickly became one of the most highly regarded painters of the new generation in Romania. In 1981, he moved to Paris and became a French national in 1984. Adrian Buba est né le 8 juin 1953 à Caransebes (Roumanie). En 1979, il devient membre de l'Union des Artistes Plasticiens de Roumanie et obtient la même année le Prix national de peinture. Il devient rapidement l’un des artistes les plus en vue de la nouvelle génération en Roumanie. En 1981 il s'installe à Paris et acquiert la nationalité française en 1984.
