Camelias Painting

I have always been a keen artist since childhood. After gaining a BA Hons in Fashion & Textiles at Bristol, I ran my own small childrenswear business selling to boutique shops in London and around the country. After 18 years living in Bristol, the family moved to London. The draw of the coast proved irresistible and we moved here permanently in 2003. I joined Ultramarine Studio in 2008 to learn techniques in oil and landscape work. I then became a member of St Ives Arts Club and started selling my work at regular exhibitions there and at other venues. I find boats and water a continuous draw - the reflections, the shape of the hull, the stillness of the sea, the crash of a wave, heavy stormy skies, moody Cornish landscapes and the drama of the ocean. My work is on permanent exhibition at Back Road Artworks, Back Rd East, St Ives.
