Aristotle might argue that old age, like other stages of life, has its own inherent purpose. For Aristotle, the concept of eudaimonia, or flourishing, is central. He would suggest that old age offers an opportunity for wisdom and reflection, contributing to a well-rounded life. According to Aristotle, the elderly can achieve a form of flourishing through the cultivation of virtue and the sharing of their accumulated wisdom, thereby finding purpose and meaning even in later years.
