Cap d'Ail Revisité Painting

This oil painting is a fantasy on the theme of French Riviera, precisely about luxury and beautiful village Cap d'Ail, the Garlic Head, which is situated between Nice and Monte Carlo. The mastership of the Province Chef Anthony De Filippo created this dish where the Garlic head itself (L'ail - in French) for me became the main character of this gastronomic paysage. In France when somebody cooks a classical dish but add a personal touch even though it still is recognizable, we say the recipe was revisited "revisité". My work is the fantasy trip to the famous geographical location but with personal touch - the magical interweaving of shades and colors will not leave you indifferent. The technique I use is so meticulous that the person who is looking at the painting keeps going back and forth trying to embrace the whole story. But there is always something new to it.
