I dare ask you, dear spectator, have you ever come face to face in face of the terrible, inexorable elements of nature, before its horrendous scale? Of course, for sure! ... And what did you feel while doing that, remember? Horror, inexplicable Fear and evocative Thrill fill me personally from the inside when I meet with the large-scale natural phenomena of our planet ... And after the past natural elements, with the advent of the sun and a clear blue sky, my soul is filled with the joy of life, light! .. And all of me from inside cleansed, washed himself! Is not this a great grace to us from Our Creator! This picture was painted by me in the summer of 2015. The picture is an unfolded canvas, which reflects the most natural spontaneous and formidable phenomenon that rules in its celestial laws. I tried to convey the true greatness of our earthly nature here literally in everything: in a stormy sky with his army of clouds, in the spreading horizon with forests, with a wide river and its sandy wet shore, and finally - with an Orthodox monastery. The place of action in the picture I chose our Russian North, namely the Arkhangelsk region, the Pinega district, the village of Vercola, where the St. Artemiev-Vercolsky monastery is visible. And of course not the accident. The taiga terrain of Siberia, the Russian North, conveys that power, that scale entertainment to the human eye, which captures the spirit, takes a breath. And I assure you - a sensation, a lively direct perception from the original of the picture is much different from the digital carrier (photo) of the reproduction of the picture, no matter how qualitatively it is transferred to the monitor screen! Ps. The painting "Catharsis" was chosen by the curators of the Russian-language site Fair of Masters() for demonstration on the main page of the site by including in a gallery called "Madrid secrets" in November 2015

"I love the dreamy yet realistic aspect you bring out in your work. It’s like a modern day Van Gogh. Keep working at it! Your art is beautiful I would love to see it in a museum one day!" - perhaps it is with this quote that I will characterize my oeuvre as a whole, which a subscriber from Atlanta Georgia (USA) once wrote to me on Instagram, expressing a personal opinion about my art. I am a self-taught artist. I am 39 years old (born in 1981), Now I live, work in St. Petersburg (Russia). I took my very first steps in painting at the age of 9-10, when I lived in an orphanage. For the first time I took oil when I was 21 years old. I try to constantly connect the unconnected - two worlds for me, real, the one that surrounds me in everyday life and the world of my fantasies, dreams, desires. This requires a constant search in the expressive aspect. Perhaps that is why I deliberately do not dwell on a certain handwriting, genre, style, technique, which is very very often inherent in artists. If you may call it, then my painting is purely individual. * (My email: , as well as links to my social networks under the profile photo).
