Cattle Country Painting

This piece painted within a valley under smokey mountains was inspired by the scenic wilderness and heady sky above. Dakota sweeping views with a grassy valley where cattle roamed like the Buffalo long before them. Painting onsite was a tradition for my Father, J.F. Albert, and the epic pieces he created on his journeys and studies across North America depict such vast and remote locations. On this day the clouds retreated but the sky was so subtle as if subdued by the vast grasslands below. A wispy forest nestled between the mountain range and the Cattle's stead - painting there over days the piece and the memories both hold sway. This piece is framed professionally for gallery hanging as this piece has been shown extensively in the collection but not for sale previously. The gold frame has a soft patina but sheen that gives such a glow to the soft highlights of the painting itself. Perfectly framed with colour hue and balance.
