Esas formas han atravesado varios siglos y milenios (tiempo), etnias y pueblos (autores) y reflejan vidas y costumbres (culturas). Todas ellas diferentes entre sí, pero al mismo tiempo cuentan la historia de la humanidad a modo de grafica o grafitis. Hombres como nosotros, en algún momento se expresaron en paredes, galerías, cuevas, dibujaron escenas cotidianas de sus vidas y dejaron un registro invalorable, en un tiempo que la prensa y redes sociales no existían; sin embargo, han perdurado muchísimo tiempo más que la obra realizadas durante las culturas modernas de los últimos seis o siete siglo. Lo más curioso, es que pueblos sin contactos entre sí han producido un lenguaje universal a través del tiempo, en donde podemos leer sus historias sin inconveniente a través de esos registros cuasi perpetuos. Algo de eso es lo que quiero pintar en esta serie “Interpretaciones Pictográficas” para prolongar esa tradición y ser parte de los que cuentan historias para adelante. Serie: "Interpretaciones Pictográficas" - Figuras La serie “Interpretaciones pictográficas”, es una extensión de la similar realizada en el año 1997 que se llamó “Pictografías del Inti-Huasi”. Aquella serie nace en un registro levantado por mí, en las galerías del Cerro Inti-Huasi (Casa del Sol), en la Pedanía de Achiras de la Provincia de Córdoba en Argentina, en los años 1995/97. Esa experiencia fue volcada a una exposición de 18 acuarelas, realizada en el año 1997 en Galería de Arte Mascia de la Ciudad de Río Cuarto. A 23 años de aquel hecho (2019), vuelvo a retomar el tema de las pictografías y registros rupestres. En esta oportunidad sin visitar de nuevo las galerías de aquel lugar, sino, tomando aquella experiencia de una manera totalmente diferente y “haciendo una remake” de los registros tal como quedaron guardados en mi memoria; no solo del contenido del Cerro Inti-Huasi, y de otros asentamientos avistados, sino de otras imágenes y simbologías provistas por la información pública existente en las redes, de otras muchas reservas aborígenes, sembradas alrededor del mundo. Entonces ahora, el uso de la palabra “Interpretaciones”, me deja la libertad amplia, de usar esas formas, como una excusa para modificarlas y que la pintura resultante, tome empatía fuerte con mi modo y forma de hacer y pensar la pintura. Las texturas son provocadas de manera intencional, en bases a preparados artesanales con enduídos plásticos, bases acrílicas, acrílicos, colas vinílicas, gesso, tizas, pigmentos artificiales y orgánicos, colorantes, ferrites industriales y otros. Los pinceles también son preparados artesanalmente usando y acomodando brochas y pinceles desgastados de la pintura de obras y viviendas. Por último esos gruesos empastes se trabajan con lijas de diferente graduación, aplanándolos y dejándolos apto para recibir la coloración provocada por tizas pastel fuertemente fijadas con sustancias también preparadas de manera personal. INGLÉS Pictograph Interpretations The figures, signs and geometries that return the cave images that are observed in the galleries and caves (all over the world), where they were made, move to a multiple reading according to the eye that looks at them. These forms have spanned several centuries and millennia (time), ethnic groups and peoples (authors) and reflect lives and customs (cultures). All of them different from each other, but at the same time they tell the history of humanity in the form of graphics or graffiti. Men like us, at some point expressed themselves in walls, galleries, caves, they drew daily scenes of their lives and left an invaluable record, in a time when the press and social networks did not exist; however, they have outlasted much longer than the work done during the modern cultures of the last six or seven centuries. The most curious thing is that peoples without contact with each other have produced a universal language through time, where we can read their stories without inconvenience through those quasi-perpetual records. Some of that is what I want to paint in this series "Pictographic Interpretations" to prolong that tradition and be part of those who tell stories for the future. Series: "Pictographic Interpretations" The series "Pictographic Interpretations" is an extension of the similar one carried out in 1997 called "Pictographies of Inti-Huasi". That series was born in a register created by me, in the galleries of Cerro Inti-Huasi (Casa del Sol), in the Achiras district of the Province of Córdoba in Argentina, in the years 1995/97. That experience was turned into an exhibition of 18 watercolors, held in 1997 at the Mascia Art Gallery in the City of Río Cuarto. 23 years after that event (2019), I return to the theme of pictographs and rock records. This time without visiting the galleries of that place again, but taking that experience in a totally different way and "remaking" the records as they were saved in my memory; not only of the content of Cerro Inti-Huasi, and of other settlements sighted, but of other images and symbols provided by the public information on the networks, of many other aboriginal reserves, planted around the world. So now, the use of the word "Interpretations" leaves me free to use those forms as an excuse to modify them and for the resulting painting to take a strong empathy with my way and way of doing and thinking about painting. The textures are intentionally caused, based on artisan preparations with plastic coatings, acrylic bases, acrylics, vinyl glues, gesso, chalks, artificial and organic pigments, colorants, industrial ferrites and others. The brushes are also prepared by hand using and accommodating brushes and brushes worn from the painting of works and houses. Finally, these thick fillings are worked with sandpaper of different grades, flattening them and making them suitable to receive the coloring caused by pastel chalks strongly fixed with substances also prepared in a personal way.
