About The Artwork

Centenary olive tree, mixed technique, acrylic, resins and glass wool. Modern and contemporary vision of an olive tree. The painting depicts a splendid Apulian olive tree in Italy. The sculpture of the oak in the foreground, characterizes the work of art, centered in a perfect square shape, highlights the perfection of Nature and its magnificent works of art. The Colorist contrasts the realistic vision with a contemporary concept through the sculptural high relief and the unnatural colors of the black background and the orange swirl, which envelops the roots of the tree in a vortex. Dynamism is generated through brush strokes and spatulas, which gives intensity to the painting. According to the Colorist, the work of art, original as a genre, classifying it only as a painting would be an understatement. Classifying it only as a sculpture would also be an understatement. As in the sculptural concepts it is a high relief on canvas. So a pictorial sculpture. The fusion of different materials, generate a unique - original! The high relief reaches 2 centimeters thick, giving the work magnificent plays of light and shadow. The natural light "captured" by the painting generates, according to the observer's positions, unique emotional sensations. The Colorist makes use of this original work "Painting - Sculpture", created by him, studied and measured to obtain effects that affect those who look at his paintings and to create that contrast between light and shadow. The sense of sculpture and color, two elements of the Colorist's painting, do not create dissonance, rather the two opposite elements complement each other, highlighting an important fact: the spectator becomes the protagonist of the painter's message. The foliage and the twisted trunk, real in colors and shapes, hands down to the spectator the difficulties that life poses along its path. Thus contrasting conceptions and thoughts. The color thus takes on the final effect, no less important for this, on the contrary it completes the work. All the elements come together in a desired synthesis of, painting and sculpture.

"THE COLORIST". Artist of his time defines himself contemporary. Italian by birth, he lives and works in Germany. Artist always looking for new stimuli, new sources of inspiration, experiment and test different techniques. Since childhood, the "Colorista" has always drawn and colored. Immersed in drawings and paintings, he spent his years doing what he liked best. In a difficult period and in the most unthinkable place, the Colorist finds the school he always wanted, painting his emotions and thoughts on the canvas. According to the "COLORIST" theory, the Artist is one who is sensitive to what others do not see. "THE COLORIST" working with intensity on his external canvases the emotional and psychological sensations of himself. However, training, studies and work experience have shaped his person. The reasons are different and the commissions are different from one vision to another, from one subject to another, from contemporary to informal realism. Seemingly all discordant! But history teaches how even the great ones have been protagonists of periods, from the "strongly plastic" to the "unfinished" of Michelangelo, Paul Cézanne and his four pictorial eras "romantic", "impressionist", "constructive", "synthetic and father "of Cubism," Pablo Picasso with the blue and pink periods and the Cubist revolution ". Simply "THE COLORIST" expresses itself. Arousing sensations and emotions in the one who observes and looks at his paintings, in the one who stands in front of his Art. He uses all the pictorial techniques to his knowledge and disposition creating a dynamic movement and sculptural depth, thus giving the sense of distance and space, characterized by a single common thread, THE COLOR .., a strong tool that makes his works alive.
