"人生自信二百年,会当击水三千里" Artist wrote this original Chinese calligraphy of a poem from Chairman Mao when he was swimming he composed it. It says if you work at day and night time you will gain two lives of two hundred years as if hitting water to a distance of three thousands li (one li equals to half km). The poem encourages people to be diligent, confident and cherishing what you’ve got. Dream will come true. Artist used the pictograph style (xiang xing wen) to write the letter of water just like beautiful water flow. You can immediately recognise it is water. Isn't it amazing! HaiQing Wang, also called KeMei, ShanYeZhiRen, was born in 1946 in JingDeZhen City, JiangXi Province, China (the Capital of Ceramics). Influenced by his grandfather Mr Wang KunRen, from whom he inherited his ancestral studio “Art Taste Room” (www.arttasteroom.com). Wang HaiQing has become a contemporary ceramic artist and Chinese style Calligrapher. Which led to his appointed as Dean of JingDeZhen ZhuShan Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute. HaiQing has developed his own skill by combining ceramic painting pigment and paper painting ink. His preferred way to create art is to go into nature and observe life around him which combined with the charm of Chinese poems to create his own unique, simple ceramic master pieces. With his hard work and self cultivation over decades, his works has been recognised as top quality of fine art by collectors in China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and other places
