A daughter of an artist mother and father, I've been art making since I was a little girl. Born on Valentine's Day 1975-- a life filled with art! And as life goes, and having parents with very unique artist-personalities, they separated even before I could remember them together. Their individual natures effected my perspectives early on, which allowed me to see different points of view. And the range of the way you see things comes in handy for coming up with an onslaught of ideas for art. Art for me is very much about experimenting. I have a strong illustration style. I love to make up stories as I go along with the brush, pen, pencil, or whatever is at my disposal. I also love to dabble in more serious styles as well as playful ones. If you've ever seen an Andy Warhol exhibit, his pieces show that he worked in a variety of styles, subject matter, and media. Instead of using the same style and same materials, he explored. I'm very similar. How boring it would be for me to do the same thing over and over again! Art helps me to process the world, and is very therapeutic. When I was a young girl in grade school I was selected to study at a special gifted and talented art academy. I started selling my artwork when I was 9 years old. I've continued making art throughout my life and majored in Liberal Arts and Fine Arts at Pepperdine University. I've shown my works in exhibits in Virginia Beach VA, Malibu CA, Del Mar CA, and Portland OR. Thank you for supporting artists like me, continued support helps me focus on the thing I love to do most! xx Joule
