Art Description

Painting: Oil on Canvas.

The symbol of the fish is well known in religious imagery and is often used to describe fetility. The battered fish in my painting are clearly phallic by their placement in the work and allude to an added luxury afforded us in a modern world were human fertility can be expressed in different types of human endeavour other than procreation, like for example being an artist who creates art works. The painting reflects a modern world where individuality and difference in sexuality are accepted and increasingly embraced by institutions religious and otherwise. I'm quiet proud of this image.
