About The Artwork

Personal experience expressed in a suitable contemporary artistic language. Passion dominates, an explosion of emotions whose main carrier is color. In this painting, we can see at least two types of paint spots: wide and transparent smears that bring the feeling of different depths and slight layering to the white surface of the paper, as well as smaller spots of stronger colors, which look like condensed substances and float on the surface of that liquid space. Red is a warm color and shows a tendency to expand, blue, a cold color, is its opposite. Two colors as controllable forces that can unite or repel. Depending on the case, that is, according to the impulses felt by the artist, he uses one to enclose, suppress or highlight another color. The black marks of the stains are apparently indications of possible movements, drawn to suggest the direction and rhythm of the tapping the paper. These traces of gestures move the whole picture, they give the spots of color the quality of force rather than form, and they give rhythm to the movement. Randomness is minimal, the painter chooses colors, doses them, determines the type of stain with his gesture, letting the paint drip from above. The hidden world of the unconscious, the entire physical and psychological life of the artist is caught up in the rhythm of action.

Serbian contemporary artist, designer and decorator. He is best known to the general public for his design works created in relation to artistic research from fine art to applied art (design) with the aim of problematizing and pointing out the absence of strict boundaries between them in contemporary artistic expression. These works are characterized by an interest in postmodernist ornamentalism and a mixture of historical styles taken from modern art. Various conflicting stylistic codes from the history of contemporary art allow mutual transformations. It is actually about artistic creativity that erases the boundaries and differences between high and popular art, between fine art and folk art.
