Come Undone has a special meaning to me. Although its title may infer the disintegration of something, or maybe even some demise. But when I created this painting I had in mind how our lives are in constant change, whether it be physical, emotional, or so much more, there is a constant wear and tear we endure and recover from. It is that timeworn essence, and the knowledge that ultimately comes along with it, that makes our uniqueness and imperfections so strong and beautiful. And that's what I see in this bold painting. This painting is framed in a silver/champagne aluminum floater frame. As framed, the painting is 41x41x2 Inches. The painting itself is 40x40x1.5 Inches. Despite their names, my art is nonobjective. I am inspired by texture, happenstance and the patina of worn surfaces; natural and manmade. I see grace and nostalgia in their visual history. I think this sensitivity allows me to approach my work with an uninhibited perspective on aesthetics, using color and visual texture as the primary elements in my geometric compositions. Each painting takes me on its own journey in which I intuitively listen and respond, incorporating of a variety of techniques and countless layers of acrylic and mixed media, constantly accumulating and reducing the applied materials until each piece finds its own end.

I love simple design and enjoy exploring the spectacle of simplicity. Nothing is ever really simple, even the simplest things have depth. So much satisfaction comes from constructing my unique surfaces of implied texture and patina, which ultimately draw the viewer in to visit, examine and explore.

My works are personal sanctuaries, influenced by the needful refuge that I find in music and lyric. These are the places I experience while I vanish under the cloak of music.
