Melissa L Hillmer is an interdisciplinary artist and educator in the Milwaukee area. Melissa owns a K-12, supplementary education art school in Wisconsin called Otto's Fine Art Academy. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2017 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Working primarily with painting and fiber mediums, she utilizes realistic figuration in order to covey a sense of connection between nature and self. Her paintings and fibers work have been displayed in a variety of locations, including Waukesha City Hall, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Jazz Gallery in Milwaukee, WI, and Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy. She has also painted several murals and public art displays for the City of Waukesha.
