Zonk Volta is the alter ego of Emanuele Maria Barboni (Milan, 1981). During the 90s he began writing on the walls of his city as a sprayer, fascinated by the graffiti culture. He came back to canvas in 2013 after a journey that led him to teach graphic arts, photography and design and after several experiences in the role of art director in the field of advertising. Fascinated by the avant-garde of modernity (Expressionism, Dadaism, Futurism, Punk ) he mixes techniques and media to express his personal vision of reality: an impressive reality, highly symbolic, distorted and critic.
