ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Copacetic" is inspired by the 1950 - 60's era of jazz music and the post war abstract expressionist movement of the 40's and 50's. It is a classic take of acrylic on canvas depicting rhythmic and energetic vibration through layering of geometric and organic shapes, contrasting colors and broad and thick brush strokes. The 2.5 inch stretcher bars are made from Poplar Wood, which I built, as well as stretching the canvas.
